Hello! I can't believe it's been a week since I last posted! I have been keeping up on hopping - more or less - but just didn't get a chance to post anything.
It was my mum's birthday on friday past and I thought I'd use it as an excuse to use one of my new stamps that I've had for ages but have yet to use (can you believe that I have the gorjuss girls stamp set from Sugar Nellie and it's still in the plastic wrapper! Shameful I know but I just haven't had time to get stuck into them this month - I'm really looking forward to it though!)
Anyway, the stamp I used was the gorgeous Blossom Fairy Charlotte from Whiff of Joy and I thought why not use the gorgeous sketch from Whiff of Joy to go with it!!
So here's my card:
And the sketch:
I glittered the wings and flower to bring them out a bit without going too heavy on the colour. This makes the card also fit the challenge set this week from ABC which is G for Glitter!
I coloured the image with my Pro-markers. The papers I used are from DCWV Once Upon A Time stack. I cut the wording out with my ROBO, This fit Cute Card Thursday's challenge to make a card for a member of your family.
I was so late making the card - it was actually the day of her birthday before I was able to make it and everyone was waiting for me before they would give her her presents. For that reason, the inside is pretty rubbish! Here's a pic anyway!
I think I'm beginning to get fairly caught up on everything for now - but it's coming very close to when I have to make more wedding invitations, this time for my best friend, so I'll be back to having no time - but march is hectic for family/friend birthdays so hopefully it won't be just as bad.
I'm now also going to try to move my craft room around a bit. It's OK the way it is at the minute - I just fancy a change!
I'll be back tomorrow with more cards!

Mother's Day Tag
Tuesday, 24 March 2009
I almost forgot about this!!
I made a snazzy tag to go with the card for my mum for mother's day. I used my flower nesties through my cuttlebug and edged them with distress inks and a line of clear stardust pen. I added a couple of daisy punches and Swarovski crystals for the centre of the flowers - the biggest flower has a huge crystal!! I mounted it all on to a square of corresponding card with a length of ribbon to attach it to the pressie. I made a tag and stamped with a mother's day sentiment. A few leafy punched shapes and Bob's your uncle!
It was a little odd that she didn't want to open the present!! lol!
It fits a few challenges.
One Stop Craft Challenge want to see a tag on your work.
ABC are up to F and want to see flowers.
And Cuttlebug Challenges - be inspired - want to see you use punches along with your bug.

My mother's day card
Here's the card I made for my wonderful ma!
I loved this Charmed Cards and Crafts download image for mother's day (although the colouring looks a little skew wiff on the legs there :/ )
I put plenty of bling onto it as my ma loves the sparkley stuff! Loads of Swarovski crystals and a diamante crown that I got from a local craft shop.
Here's the wee diamante crown thingy:
And a wee handbag charm:
I followed this sketch from Truly Scrumptious:
Which is infact truly scrumptious!!
Here's the inside:
I added a ribbon and ribbon threader to the inside - here's a close-up:
And a few more swarovski's on the sentiment:
I would also like to enter this as my attempt to win the fabby copic candy at Crafty Goings On. How brilliant is that!! You could win 72 copics!!

Another mother's day card
Monday, 23 March 2009
I made this one quickly on sunday morning for my sister from her two babies. I got the image from a stamped image swap on our forum and I coloured it with watercolour pencils.
Here's the card:
I made a balls up when I was cutting it out and had to cut it smaller that I wanted but it turned out OK.
I used Basic Grey cupcake papers. The sentiment was computer generated. And my Martha Stewart border punch was used again - I love this one, I seem to use it the most out of the 3 that I have.
I followed the gorgeous sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches:
And I used up scraps of the papers to make a stripy inside and added a couple of nestie cut circles to sign onto:
Ryan (18 months) and Holly (4 months) signed the card for their mummy (with a little help!!)
I'll be back tomorrow with the card I made for my ma!
Happy Birthday Colin!
Sunday, 22 March 2009
It was my brother Colin's birthday yesterday and I was a terrible sister/crafter... I hadn't got my card made for him! So I made a very quick crappy one and gave it to him today - sorry Colin!
Here it is anyway:
And the inside:
I followed this sketch from Just Christmas and Birthday cards:
He's all into guitar's and things so my DCWV Rockstar stack and ribbon came in v handy!! It went down OK - he knows how busy I've been so he was very understanding.
I'll have more to show tomorrow (might as well spread out what I've made over a couple of days!)
Hope you all had a lovely mothers day!

I got an award!
I got an award from the lovely Ruby at Ruby 2 Shoes!
Thank you so much Ruby! Make sure you check out her blog - it's fantastic!
Again I'd like to pass this on to all my gorgeous followers as they are obviously all very supportive (or they wouldn't be followers then would they!!) I love it when I get comments and people are always so nice!

Another card for my cousin (although technically, I suppose this one is for my aunt!!)
It was quite hard to come up with a suitable image as she doesn't like cute and that's the direction I've been going of late. But when I saw this digi stamp from Charmed cards and crafts I thought it would be perfect!
So here's the card:
I coloured with my pro-markers and the papers are basic grey. The flowers were made with my smallest nestie and a couple of daisy punches and some brads.
I followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday this time:
And here's the inside:
I'm trying to get a slide show finished too as I'm off to a hen party tonight and we took pictures at the "official away" party a few weeks ago that the bride doesn't know about! Should be a laugh! We have all sorts of games organised and once the drink goes in the craic'll be ninety!
I also have yet to make a card for my own mother - and it's my brother's birthday tomorrow - better get a wriggle on...
bye for now!

A wedding card - in blue!!
Wednesday, 18 March 2009
I was asked by my cousin to make a wedding card for a friend. She had recieved her invitation which was navy blue (you should never make your invitations the same colour as your bridesmaids dresses!) and she wanted her card to correspond by making it in lighter blues.
I said ok straight away, and then I thought - what do I have that is suitably weddingy, in blue???
I have loads in reds, and golds, and creams, and silvers and browns - but no blues!!
So I had a hoke, and found a gorgeous DCWV paper that I've had for ages (one of those ones that you don't really want to use, so I had convinced myself that it didn't go with anything!!) So I decided to use that one patterned paper and lots of plain paper!
This is what I came up with:
I followed this sketch from Cute Card Thursday:
Isn't that a fantastic sketch! When I saw it I knew I had to use it!! They also want you to make your card a celebration card - well, you celebrate a wedding don't you! So also a big happy birthday to CCT as they are 1 year old this week!
I used a concoction of different things to make up the wee flower, a paper flower that I had in my stash (and can't remember where I got it), a pretty flower brad thing from dove craft and one of my wee heart charms that I have loads of from Club Green.
Here's a close up:
And lastly, here's the inside:
I'm also back to my old background! I thought I'd celebrate St. Paddy's day in style, but it left my blog kinda hard to read, so it feels good to be home!!
Have a good day all!

Another Lynne, another birthday!
Tuesday, 17 March 2009
It was another friends birthday yesterday - Happy Birthday Lynne!!
I made this card for her:
Using images from the same set as in my last post and also coloured with pro-markers.
I had made it more or less following a sketch from Papertake weekly (I think), but I've missed it now so never mind!!
Here's a wee close-up, just to prove it was a birthday card!!
And here's the inside, which I blinged up a bit more sayin' as the front wasn't overly worked.
So that's it - I hope you've all had a lovely Paddy's day and enjoyed some of the black stuff!!

Happy Birthday Lyn!
Friday, 13 March 2009
I'm still here!! I've been so busy at other things over the past week and I've made a few cards that I couldn't post on here, but as it was Lyn's birthday yesterday (and hopefully she's got my card by now) I can post the card I made for her!
This is it:
I followed this sketch from Sketch Saturday:
I used one of the fab images from the Holly & Madison downloads from Charmed Cards & Crafts which I coloured with my pro-markers and cut out with a label nestie.
Papers are basic grey as are fibres and I used one of my Martha Stewart punches!
I distressed the edges with a tool that I have no clue what its called!
The charm is from stash - here's a close up..
I also mounted the image and sentiment (which I think is an alota stamp - highlighted with pm's) onto foam pads for dimention..
And here's the inside:
A couple of other challenges which it fits are The Pink Elephant, the challenge being to use pink, green and brown. My Time To Craft's challenge is "Woman"!! Well this image is definitely of a woman!
So there you have it! All that's left to say again, is Happy Birthday Lyn! (AKA Spyder)
