Blog Candy Now Closed

Hi everyone!

I was ever so chuffed to find a couple of weeks ago that I had passed the 100 follower mark on my wee blog, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to  give away a wee bit of candy!
So I had a think about what I wanted it to be and got it ordered.
It has all finally arrived and this is what I've got...

The candy includes:
~ Stampin' Up! Modern Label punch (the one in the picture is my own as the new one hadn't arrived when I took the photo, but I've got the new one now)
~ The new limited edition seasonal colours - Spring 2012 pro-marker set of 6 pens. (pesky light reflecting off the packaging!)
~ 2 of the new Magnolia stamps that have been causing quite a stir among crafters recently!  I've got the Winter Skating Tilda and Stamping Tilda.
~ A butterfly like the one I had on a wedding card recently.
~ A roll of ribbon - it's white organza (so will hopefully go with most things and is also on the wedding card - this is a new roll though!) and is 25 metres long.

Here's a close-up of the stamps

So here's what I'd like you to do..

1. If you're not already a follower, I'd be really delighted if you would become one but please don't only enter for the candy.  I wouldn't make it a rule, but it's a follower candy so it wouldn't seem right if it didn't go to a follower!
2. Link the pic of the candy to the sidebar on your blog to help me spread the word - and the love! (if you link the candy to a post, please link directly to it below)  If you don't have a blog, that's fine, you can still enter, but spread the word if you can!
3. Leave your name with the linky thingy below. (I've never used one before, so hopefully I won't mess it up!)
4. Optional - Please leave me a comment (it may be advisable to leave a comment after me admitting that it's a possibility that I'll mess up the linky thing!)  I love reading your comments, so that's just something for me!
Only one entry for everyone to make it fair!
I'll post anywhere, so everyone's welcome!
It'll stay open until 31st March 23:59 GMT and hopefully I'll remember to draw and post a winner on the 1st April (I'll try not to fool anyone!) using random.org.

So that's my candy, I hope you like it!

Mother's Day

Friday, 23 March 2012

Morning all!

Another Friday has come to greet us all too fast!  But as well as the weekend, every fortnight it means we get a new challenge at the Alphabet Challenge Blog!

Thanks to everyone for joining in with my challenge last time!

This time we're at the letter D and my ex-teamie, Janet, chose the theme

D for Dry Embossing!

So get out your embossing folders, boards or maybe even your light boxes and get creative!

Here's my card - which I gave to my mum for Mother's Day

The image is from LOTV called Teddy With Bouquet.  I coloured it with the following copics - Flowers; RV06,04,02,R29,27,24,B02,00,0000,YG07,05,03,97,95,93.  Wrapper; RV13,11,10.  Paper; E43,41.  Bear; E37,35,33.  I added swarovski crystals to the centre's of some of the flowers.

The paper is K & Co - Gothic Rose glitter paper, which I've had for ages, and Bo Bunny Love Bandit Bee Mine.
The sentiments are also LOTV from the Postmarks set.  I triple embossed them with UTEE and added a Swarovski to the centres.  They were cut out with a nestie.
The panel across the centre is a Cuttlebug embossing folder and the gorgeous flower is a Prima one.

The inside mimics the front

So head over to the Alphabet Challenge Blog to see what wonderful creations my teamies have come up with!

Thanks for looking!

Top O The Morning To Ye!

Friday, 9 March 2012

Good morning everyone!

Yep, it's that time again, when I post early on a friday morning, which can mean only one thing..

It's Alphabet Challenge Blog time!

We're up to the letter C and it was my turn to choose the theme.  I noticed what date the challenge would be on, and as the Irish representative of the team, I had to go for...

C for Celebrate Saint Patrick's Day!
Or you can do a good luck card instead if you want!

So here's my card...

The images are from The Paper Shelter.  I've coloured them with the following copics - Skin; E21,13,00,0000,R20.  Hair; YR07,04,02.  Clothes; G17,16,14,85,82,21,Y08,06,02,100,C9,7. Grass; YG17,13,11.  Shamrocks;YG07,05,03.  Pot; V17,15,12.  And all the same colours were used for the castle scene.

The floral paper is K & Co and I'm afraid I don't know where the green spotty paper is from but I wish I did cos I love it!  The spots are flocked so the texture is fantastic!
The sentiment is from Waltzing Mouse Stamps and I punched it out with a Stampin' Up! word punch using a technique I think I saw on Pinterest (only, I can't find it now) cos the phrase was too long for the punch, brilliant!

I made the Leprechaun sit out from the card by attaching him to a spring that I made out of two strips of card.
The cluster of shamrocks were made using Spellbinder heart dies.
The mushrooms, shamrock charm and flowers are from my stash.

I also made it a deep easel card so as it would close over the mushrooms which are quite bulky for the inside.  It needs a little tweeking, but it sort of works.

So that's my Paddy's Day card.  Why not head over to the Alphabet Challenge Blog to see some fabulous creations from the rest of the DT, including some for Saint Patrick's Day and some for Good Luck.

WOYWW Whoopsie!

Thursday, 1 March 2012

Hi everyone!

Oops!  I missed Wednesday!  I've got so much going on at the moment that I feel like I'm in fast-forward, but everything is taking longer to do!

And it doesn't help when this happens...

The wee tray that I had put all the wee bits and pieces I had gathered up to be sorted out fell and scattered it's contented all over the floor.  Thanks gravity!

To be fair, it's probably because I can barely make out the shape of my desk under all the depris on top of it!

This is the tidy part.

I'm off to do a few other things and have a nosey at some of the other WOYWW desks.

Thanks for looking!
