My last easel card... for now!
Tuesday, 22 December 2009
A friend asked if I would make a card for him to give to his wife for christmas - the spec was sparkley and to put her name on it!
So this is what I came up with...
And here's the easel bit..
I used miss Anya and coloured her with my copics (I love saying that!). Mariva has lovely red hair, so I gave Anya red hair too.
I made a snowflake using my spellbinder die and acetate, I coated it with glossy accents and clear glitter and embedded a few swarovski's in it - including a huge one for the centre.
I used spellbinder dies for the computer generated sentiments. Again, I can't remember the name of the papers - I can't wait til I have the internet in my craft room again and I'll have all the info I need at hand, but that'll be in the new year.
I also made a box to put the card in but didn't take a pic.
Plus I made one very similar for my little sister - just changed the wording.
I hope you liked it, thanks for dropping by!

Here's my christmas card for my gorgeous wee neice Holly
As you can see it's another easel card
The fabby image is from Mo's digital pencil, and it's the first one I coloured with my brand new copic markers! I wasn't completely happy with the skirt but I know it'll take a bit of practise with them.
I'm afraid I can't remember who the papers are by, I'll try to find out. The ribbon, swarovski's and wire was from stash.
Thanks for looking!

I can't believe I haven't blogged in so long - I've been so busy lately but I don't know where the time goes!
Anyway, I recently got an award from the very talented Andria at Iona Rose Designs, and I hadn't actually gotten around to blogging it.
So here's the award
And along with the award I have to answer some questions. One word answers only...so here goes:

Another Bright Christmas!

Another Christmas card for you.
For this one I used one of the gorgeous images from Whiff of Joy and coloured with my promarkers. I coated the candy cane with glossy accents to give it a 3d feel and make it nice and shiny!
The papers are Cosmo Cricket Jolly by golly - I love these bright and cheery papers!
Challenges...
Just the one this time, A Spoon Full of Sugar - Non traditional christmas colours, nice and bright so hopefully it counts!
I had a really lovely birthday and was spoilt rotten! I got loads of lovely goodies including some CD's and DVD's (including Public Enemies with the yummy Johnny Depp!! Swoon!).
My gorgeous wee 2 year old nephew Ryan had a crafty day of his own with his mum mum and he made me a card! Aparently he picked the stickers and stuck them on himself for his auntie neena! Although his mum mum helped him do the writing. He also made a picture of his handprints with paint - I'm sure they had lots of fun doing that! It'll go up on my fridge for sure!
I also got VIP tickets to go to Topgear live - their roadshow is in Dublin this week and I'm going to see them on sunday!
But the present that totally blew me away was from my wonderfully fantastic parents! :D
They got me a set of 72 copic sketch markers and a blender pen! I nearly fell off my seat when I opened it!! I did feel a little bad afterwards though that the markers got the reaction they did compared to everyone else's presents!! I really loved all my presents!
So a huge thank you to everyone for their lovely gifts!
Also a huge thank you to all my crafty friends who sent me yummy handmade cards. They're all really beautiful. I'll take a pic when they all arrive as I've been told that there will be a couple of late comers - Totally understandable particularly at this time of year. So thanks again!

CANDY NOW CLOSED
Check back later for winner!
Check back later for winner!
I can't believe it's been a year today (11th November) since I started my blog!
The year has flown past and I've met (virtualy speeking!) lots of really talented people out there.
I've learnt so much about papercrafting and cardmaking since I started blogging - as well as spent an absolute fortune on all the new must have gadgets and gizmo's and papers and stamps and pens and...!!!
So to celebrate, I'm doing my first blog candy!
And as I'm sure you'll know (if you've been following my blog) I'm not the most organised person in the world (soon to be rectified though!) so you won't be surprised to hear that I haven't actually finished gathering up the candy!
I've taken a picture of what I have gathered so far though so you can have a taster of what it is!
As you can see I've got a 6x6 K & Company paper pad, a reel of silver ribbon (I believe it's 25m), one of the big butterflies that I used on a recent card, a couple of blingy bits, a selection of flowers and a Maya Road tin to put it all in.
I've also ordered a couple of Sugar Nellie stamps to add to it but they haven't arrived yet.
Plus, I'm going to the craft show in Belfast tomorrow so will hopefully pick up some things there.
Plus, as I sort through my craft stuff for moving, you never know what I might find in there to add to it too!!
What I'd like you to do to be in with a chance of winning is...
1. Become a follower
2. Leave a comment
3. Post about my candy on your blog (or your sidebar)
Just the usual really.
I'm leaving it open until my birthday which is December 3rd so there's plenty of time!
Hopefully, I'll pick the winner using that random.org thingy, but as I've never done this before, it might be a bowl of shredded paper with numbers on them!
I think I've said all I need to... someone let me know if I've missed anything!
Good luck!
Thanks for dropping by!
Last Chance
Today is the last chance to enter my blog candy.
I've added a couple of other things (but forgot to take a pic) including a cuttlebug die (which I must point out has been used but not very much so it's like new) and a couple of stamps. Also the 2 Sugar Nellies have arrived and are ready to go again!
So good luck everyone!

Another Christmas card to add to my collection
For this one I used the fab image by Mo Manning at Mo's Digital Pencil.
I coloured it with...you guessed it, my promarkers!
The papers are Stampin' Up! Merry Moments.
The sentiment circle is a download from Pollycraft, also coloured with pm's.
Challenges...
Cupcake craft - Red and Green (Ok, so I've a lot of brown too, but there is red & green!)
And Stamp with fun - xmas.
Thanks for looking

WOYWW
As promised (all be it a little late!) here's my pic for WOYWW on Julia's blog.
As you can see, it's a wee bit messier than last weeks brand spanking new room, but I don't think it's too bad!
You can just make out the laptop that's nearly burried under a pile of papers and card!
The Baubles are for a card that I'm gonna make 4 of, and they were coated with glossy accents last night before I went to bed, so I'll finish them off tonight.
Other bits and pieces that should've been put away - cos I've finished with them! lol!
So that's me for this week!

Another christmas card.
I used my promarkers (and my one and only copic!) to colour this gorgeous Kraftin Kimmie stamp. The papers are Imaginisce Polar Express.
I used a snowflake shaped button from my stash and some wire to make the swirls along with some very thin slivers of paper to make the twirly bit at the side (that is in fact the technical term "twirly bit"!) and I added a swarovski crystal bead to the wire and also some stickles on the buttons and trim on her skirt for a bit of glam!
I didn't follow any particular sketch for this (for a change!) but it does fit a few other challenges:
The Pink Elephant - to use your favourite colouring medium (which is at the moment my promarkers but I'm hopefully getting some copics for christmas! I'll still love my PM's though!)
The Cuttlebug Spot - Winter (I used the snow embossing folder - don't know what you call it but it's the one that looks like falling snow - on the blue band across the middle of the card.)
And Papertake Weekly - Christmas crackers (It's a christmas card!)
I think I'll never be finished my christmas cards on time - I added another one to my collection last night bringing my total to 10, so only another gazillion to go!
I'll be back tomorrow with another one and I have full intentions on keeping up the WOYWW pics!
