Finally, A Christmas Card!

I actually made this card a while ago, just never got around to blogging it. That doesn't mean to say that I've got loads of christmas cards made - I have a total of 9 now made, and 5 of them are the same design!

This is the one that I have five of, if you get me!

I did follow a sketch, but as it was a while ago, I can't remember which sketch it was.

I do remember that it's miss Anya and I coloured her with my promarkers.



The papers are Basic Grey, Wassail and I think the sentiment came from a Joanna Sheen set - but I'm not 100% on that!
The snowflakes are a spellbinders create a flake and are coated with polar flower soft.

I've decided that as I'm so far behind with my christmas cards that I'm not going to decorate the insides, so hopefully that'll take a bit of the pressure off.

My new craft room!!!

Hi all!

I've finally got my new craft room finished last night!! I started moving stuff on saturday and was carrying boxes into my house at 2am sunday morning!! The furniture was moved on sunday in gale force winds - a desk almost landed in my precious Bert (my mini) but thankfully that disaster was avoided! Thanks to my brother in law for helping me move the furniture - he was astounded that I managed to get it all to fit into my tiny second bedroom!! But I got it all to fit! I had a little path around all the boxes of stash in my kitchen and living room until I got it all sorted away on monday night and last night, I couldn't believe I have so much stuff!! (well, I knew rightly, I just didn't want to admit it!!)

Here's the before picture of the room when it was my second bedroom..

Hardly room to swing a cat (not that I'd do that anyway, think of the mess it'd make! JK!)

And here's the after picture of my new craft room!!

Ta dah!!...

i do have a lot less space than I had in my parents attic, but at least it's my space. And I think it was a genious idea to flip the 2 bookshelves upside down and put them on top of the desks. I still have plenty of work space and I have everything within easy reach!

I thought I'd use this oppurtunity to join in on Julia's blog for "What's on your workdesk wednesday". Perfect oppurtunity saying as it's just newly sorted and relatively tidy!! lol!!
So at the minute there's not much to comment on except a chrsitmassy image that I've coloured and is waiting to be made into a card, and a handbag charm that is the first thing I made in my new craft room. I'll probably blog it later, so I'll not say any more about it.

So there you go, I'm looking forward to getting home from work (in about half an hour) and getting stuck into making something! I'll try to post my desk again next week - I'm sure it won't look quite as pretty!!

Holly's birthday card number 2!

This is the card I made for Holly from myself.

And guess what?? It's an easel card! My first atempt at one and I have to say, I love them! They're so easy to make but look so impressive!

I coloured Tilda with my PM's

Papers are Basic Grey "Nook and Pantry" which I thought went really well with the big magnolia bun!!

I followed Mina's fab sketch at Just Magnolia - I thought I'd make use of it saying as I met Mina at the craft show in Belfast last week! It was great to meet someone from blogland. Plus I spent a fortune!!

Holly's Birthday Card

It was my gorgeous wee niece's 1st birthday on sunday. And of course I was still making her cards on saturday night!!

I made this card from my mum & dad - her grandparents

I used a Gorjuss girl coloured with my pm's.

The paper is Basic Grey (I think it's call lemonade).
I got the sparkly "1" from Joanna Sheen's online shop and the other bits are from my stash. The sentiments are computer generated.

The reason for my absence...

Hi all!

I wanted to apologise for not posting for a while, I've been really busy lately doing a couple of orders, that can't be blogged, for people.

Also, I'm moving! sort of! At the moment my "craft room" is in the attic of my parents house, so up until now I have been going to their house after work every day and at the weekends, so have hardly been in my own house at all for the past year!
So I decided that I would move it all to my own house. So with a bit of sorting and a lot of moving I should be organised soon! I'm also hoping that this will give me more time to make cards and make it less of a chore sometimes!

So just thought I'd fill everyone in!
