A long post!

Monday, 5 October 2009

I made a wedding wordbook for my best friends who got married in july - of course they were meant to get it sooner, but you know what I'm like! I did have it finished a while ago, but only delivered it the other night so I can blog it now!

The papers I used are from the Basic Grey Wisteria pad, and they matched beautifully with the theme of the wedding. I also used elements from their wedding invitations (which I also made) including the card (the mat for the photos) and the swarovski crystals (if you remember I was sticking hundreds of them!)

And as you can see, it was a beautiful wedding - stunning in every way! I was running around like an eejit all day snapping pictures of everything I seen!

I was delighted with the end result as it was my first ever word book. I love the fact that I can do something special like this for the people I care about.
They're a lot of work though, so not sure when my next one will be!! lol!

I hope you liked it - thanks for dropping by.

Stamp with fun

Sunday, 4 October 2009

I was asked to make a wedding anniversary card this week and for some reason I hate making anniversary cards! It's almost as bad as male cards to me! Must be because there's a man involved!!

So, I liked the sketch over at Stamp with fun so decided to go with it.

Here's my card

I flipped the sketch as I thought it worked better with my image.

Papers are Basic Grey "Sugared". The stamp is a digi stamp from Charmed cards and crafts and I coloured her with my propmarkers.

I coloured her wings at the base and tips with a light pink pm and then blended the colour out and then went over the whole wing with a clear stardust pen - I love those pens!

I didn't take a picture of the inside as it was quite plain.

I hope you liked it - thanks for dropping by!
