Well it's sunday, and the race is going brilliantly!! Ferrari are winning!! Well, I hope so! It's actually Tuesday and I'm scheduling this post for sunday...so hopefully it's worked!
If not...Andria, don't look! At least until sunday when it is actually your birthday (and you should have the card by then!)
I followed the sketch at Sketch and Stash for this card
And here's my card:
My new stash is the yummy Doraline stamp and also the diecut Sizzix Bigz Vine.
I coloured Doraline with my promarkers. Papers are my minds eye.
Here's the inside with another vine.
So hopefully the scheduling has worked. I'll be back in Ireland on Tuesday, so hopefully it won't be long before I'm back here!
In the meantime..
Happy Birthday Andria!!
Thanks for dropping by!

A very quick post here as I'm running very late! I'm heading away tonight to go to Belgium for the Grand Prix at the weekend!!! I'm a teeny bit excited!! But I haven't packed yet, so the panic is starting to set in!
It was a mad rush to try to get all done that needed to be done - and as I made a couple of cards following sketches, I wanted to get them blogged before I go!!
So here's the first one:
I followed the sketch on Just Christmas And Birthday Cards - lovely sketch, only I couldn't get the circle to go under the frilly bit, so I put it over it!!
I used another fairy from the digi downloads from Charmed cards and crafts. I also used the yummy Wisteria papers from Basic Grey. A few swarovski's and a bit of ribbon from my stash to finish.
You can sort of see here how I decoupaged the fairy a bit.
Here's the inside:
Fairly plain, just using another bit of Wisteria paper.
I have another card to show you, but it's for my friend Andria whose birthday it is on Sunday. I'll be at the race in Belgium on sunday so I'm gonna have a go at scheduling that card. Just in case it doesn't work....ANDRIA, DON'T LOOK! lol!

Sketch Saturday Challenge
Friday, 21 August 2009
I made this card for a friend whose birthday was yesterday - so hopefully she's got her card now and I can show you here!
I followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday for this one.
And here is my card
I used the gorgeous fairy downloads from Charmed cards and crafts. I coloured her and her mushrooms with my promarkers and decoupaged the fairy
I also used my favourite Martha Stewart border punch.
Fairly basic inside again - but I'm slowly but surly getting back into decorating the inside!
Thanks for dropping by!

A Thank You Card
Thursday, 20 August 2009
I was asked to make 2 thank you cards for 2 male tutors.
I didn't quite know what to do, but as I was looking through my stamps , I was inspired by the name of one of my Sugar Nellies.
This is what I came up with:
I made them both pretty much the same, just slightly different colours. I coloured the image with my promarkers. I also decoupaged the girl and then the hat again.
I wrote the sentiment (which is the name of the stamp) onto a Tim Holtz ticket
And then put the thank you note on the very plain inside
And finished it off in a box
No challenges this time.
Thanks for dropping by!

A challenge card!
Monday, 17 August 2009
Here's the first challenge card I've made in ages! I felt I had to join this challenge for "week 1" as I'm such a fan of Basic Grey.
So the challenge this fortnight at Basic Grey Challenge is a fab sketch from Tara G:
And here's my card:
This cutie is from Whipper Snapper and I coloured her with my promarkers
The papers are from Basic Grey (I can't remember which set - I'll have to look it up later and I'll add it then) and ribbon, charm and swarovski crystals are from my stash. I glittered around the edge of the image mount, and cut out a heart with my cuttlebug die.
This is the inside:
I used the inside bit of the heart from the front (and another one) and glittered the whole thing and with the other one, I coloured it with a clear stardust pen and then coated it with glossy accents (I think that's the right one!) The wording was all adapted to suit how the cutsie wee girl would say it! ie, "Happy Birfday!"
Thanks for dropping by!

Typical Man!

This was a card I made for a friend who turned 30 last week. This fantastic Flippin' Men image (which is by far my favourite one!) suits him down to the ground!
I liked this Basic Grey paper for the background as it reminds me of wallpaper you'd see in the toilets of an old Irish pub!! Which is where you're likely to find the recipient!! You can see where I glittered the wording with Sakura clear stardust pen, I also glittered the pint for effect, although you can't really see it here.
Here's the fairly plain inside:
And here's a close up of the decoupage and shaping:

HUGE APOLOGIES!!!

Hi all!
Firstly, can I just say how sorry I am that's it's been soooo long since I've posted on my blog.
I have to say, that after my friends wedding, I didn't make a card for a month! It was a well deserved break though, as life was so hectic before that - not that's really any less hectic now!
Also, I was injured a couple of weeks ago at a concert when I was struck on the head by a flying man.... long story! I'm still recovering from that but I had intended on blogging sooner only for that.
So to get back into it, I have a few cards lined up, but I'll do the wedding one I promised (even though it's now old!)
I think I did follow some challenges for it, but they're long passed and I haven't a clue which ones they were.
This is the card:
The image is a digital download - I think it's from Bee Crafty - but I'll have to check.
This is the flower I made and the charm is from my stash - I made the beads using swarovski crystals:
And a close up of the decoration on the ribbon:
This is the personalisation:
And finally the inside, I added a pocket too for putting money into:
Hopefully it'll not be just as long til I'm back!!
Thanks for stopping by!
