Christening Card

Tuesday 19 March 2013

Afternoon everyone!

Another cold one today, we're expecting more snow but I don't know if we'll see too much of it.
I hope you all enjoyed St. Patrick's Day, I didn't do too much as I wasn't feeling too well, I think the bug that has been doing the rounds at work is trying it's best to catch me.  So even if I wasn't out enjoying myself, at least I was looking a little green. Lol!

So it's time for another challenge at the Creative Card Crew and for this fortnight we are being sponsored by the fabulous Scrapping Center

And they're offering a very generous €15 to spend in their store to one lucky winner!

So, the challenge for the next fortnight is...

Masculine!

I know a lot of people really do find this subject challenging (and not just in card form! lol) including me.
Here's what I did:

I made a Christening easel card.

I printed out the name of the new baby before stamping the LOTV Baby Christening image and I coloured it with the following copics: E21,13,00,0000,R20,E35,B95,93,91,C4,3,2,1,0,YG11
The font of the sentiment is called Ribbon Happy - it's spotty, which I thought went well with the ribbon I used.

I used my score board to score lines diagonally on the card of the front and the base.  I added some pearls to the corners which started life off in white but I used my B95 pen to colour them blue.
The ribbon is from the Ribbon Girl and the flowers are vintage ones that I got ages ago and I forget where.  The little cross is from my stash.
The well used (I've got my money's worth here!) Magnolia swirl die has been utilised again.

And finally, I made a box for it to fit into.

So pop over to the Creative Card Crew blog to check out what the rest of the DT did!

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

4 Crafty Chicks; Clean and simple
Craft Your Passion; Ribbons or lace
Crafty Ribbons Challenge Blog; One for the boys
Daring Cardmakers; Make a cute angle
Delightful Challenges; One for the boys
One Stitch At A Time; No design papers
Stampin' For The Weekend; Childsplay

Thanks for looking!
