Christmas Cutie!

Tuesday, 29 July 2014

 Hi everyone!

I hope you're all well today?
I have been kept busy at work, this is a particularly busy week for me but it's OK, next week will be quieter.  I've been doing the 5-2 diet and today is one of my fasting days so it's good to be kept busy and then I don't notice that I'm hungry! lol!

We have a new challenge up today at the Creative Card Crew.
Our sponsor for this fortnight is Whiff Of Joy

http://www.whiffofjoy.ch/
They are offering a rubber stamp to one lucky winner!

The challenge we have for you this time is a scary one!  We want you to make items with a theme of...

Christmas!

It scares me anyway!  It seems like no time at all since last Christmas and there's less time til next Christmas than there has been since the last!

But I knuckled down and this is what I did..

The image is Harry Hugging A Christmas Bauble by Whiff of Joy.  I coloured him with the following copics: E29,27,25,23,21,13,00,0000. R59,39,37,24. YG07,05,03. N5,3. Blender.  I used a metallic gold gellyroll pen on the hanger and other um, gold bits!
Again, I wasn't overly happy with my colouring on this one, I guess I just need to get back to practising again!

The papers are Helz Cuppleditch "Santa's Workshop" by Trimcraft.  The sentiment is also by Whiff of Joy from the Seasons Greetings set.  The ribbon came from Next and the kraft card, tag, pearls and button are from my stash.  The string on the tag is reused after I kept it from some clothes tags.  I used Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle to cut out the image.

The inside is much of the same with another sentiment from the same stamp set.

Please take a look at what the rest of the DT have done over at the Creative Card Crew blog and have a go at entering too!

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

First Christmas

Monday, 23 December 2013

Hello to everyone on this blustery Christmas Eve-Eve!
I hope you're all well and are ready for an even blusterier Christmas Eve!  That's what we're supposed to be getting anyway.
I was up until 4:30 this morning wrapping my presents - they cost a fortune, took ages to wrap nearly breaking my back in the process and now that it's all done it looks like nothing!  Ah well, at least it's all done now.

We have our last challenge of the year for you up today on Seems A Little Sketchy and our sponsor for this challenge - which lasts 3 weeks this time - is Di's Digi Downloads

http://disdigidownloads.blogspot.co.uk/

Here's is the lovely festive sketch we have for you this time:

http://seemsalittlesketchy.blogspot.co.uk/
And here's what I did:

The image is a Bauble Baby by Mo's Digital Pencil and I coloured him with the following copics: Skin: E21,13,00,0000,R20. Hair: E29,37,35. Clothes: B95,93,91. G16,14,12. C3,1. Holly: YG97,95,93. R29. Bauble: BG13,11,10.  And I used a gold gelly roll metallic pen also.

My papers are Santa's Workshop by Helz Cuppleditch and some of the little accessories match the papers too.  I used a Magnolia Doo Hickey for the swirl and Spellbinders Circle and Big Scallop Circles for the image.  I edged the image with a nice bobble-y ribbon by docrafts.  The bells, twine and nail heads are from my stash.  The sentiment in the bauble was computer generated and the font is Santa's Sleigh.  The other sentiment is a Wild Rose Studio stamp.

The inside is a lot more basic than the front!  The Merry Christmas die cut is by Couture Creations, Intricutz dies.

So that's my last Seems A Little Sketchy card of the year, if you get some crafting time over the holidays, please join us and make sure you check out the rest of the DT's work for some fab inspiration!

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

We Wish You A Beary Christmas!

Tuesday, 29 October 2013

Hi everyone!

I hope you're all organised for Halloween?  I don't think I'm doing anything for it this year, it's the first time in a long time that I haven't gone anywhere, I'll probably pull on some wig or other out of my dress-up box and go see my niece and nephews.  Or I might just stay in and see if I get any trick-or-treaters, I'm not normally at home so I don't know if I do or not!  I always stock up with goodies just in case on the nights either side of Halloween but no-one has ever come to my door so I end up having to keep the goodies to myself - now there's a silver lining! lol!

We have a new challenge for you today at the Creative Card Crew and our sponsor for the next fortnight is the fabulous Stamp Fairy

and they're offering a $10 gift voucher to one lucky winner!

So the challenge this time is...

Teddy Bears Picnic!

So anything with a teddy bear on it!

Here's what I did...

I coloured my image, which was supplied by the Stamp Fairy, with the following copics: Bears; E37,35,YR24,23,21. E47,44,43,42,41. W9,7,5,3,1 ,R20, blender stippled over after each bear was coloured to give texture. Scarves; R59,29,27. Lamp; YG97,95,93,Y17,15,13,02,00. Ground; E33,30. Sky; B39,37,34.

The cute papers are Santa's Workshop by Helz Cuppleditch.  I used Memory Box Virtuoso Music die and stuck words made out of gems onto it, it's hard to see in the photo but it says "Merry Christmas".  The ribbon and red pearls are from my stash.

The inside has been done to match the front.

So please pop over to the Creative Card Crew blog to see what the rest of my teamies have been up to and join in with our fun challenge!

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Jolly Holly!

Sunday, 16 December 2012

Good afternoon!

Are you all getting excited??  Are you all organised??  I was trying to get all my Christmas pressies wrapped yesterday but the old back was having none of it!  I got most of them done but still have a few to do.

I'm all excited cos I'm heading out soon to see my wee nephew Ryan in his school P1 nativity play!  He's playing a shepherd  (or a Chefferd as he was calling it! - He knew what he meant but his wee sister Holly wasn't so sure and at one point told my cousin that he was going to be a cooker!  After some puzzled looks all round I asked them what a chefferd did, Ryan said "he looks after sheep" and Holly said "he makes my dinner"!!  Like a chef!! lol!  I then explained that he was actually going to be a shepherd and what he did!) and he has a line to say.  My hands will be sore from clapping after it as you have to clap after each child says their line - it's tradition!

Anyway, time for another challenge at Eclectic Ellapu and it's a special week this week as the Pink and Purple teams have joined forces for a special 3 week challenge over the festive holidays.  Elaine decided that it would be good to have a theme of...

Anything goes!

So here's what I did

I made this card for my gorgeous wee niece Holly using the same fold of card as I did for Ryan (always best to give them the same things or a row will break out!)

The image is Tilda With Two Little Gifts by Magnolia, coloured with the following copics: Skin;E21,13,00,000,R20. Clothes;R39,37,27,YG07,05,03. Hair;E49,39,35,31.  Plus I helped some of the shading with some Prisma pencils.

The papers are "Special Delivery" by Helz Cuppleditch.  The sentiment is Merry Christmas by Papermania and the Holly is also a stamp from some Christmas set but I can't remember which (it might have been an Elusive Images set) stamped with versamark and embossed with white Stampin' Up! EP.  I used copious amounts of snowtex on almost everything!  The loopy ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and the jingle bells and felt trees are table decorations from my stash.

So pop over to Eclectic Ellapu to see the fab inspirations from both teams and join in with the fun!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
