Anniversary Overload!

Hi everyone!

Uh-oh!  It seems my blogging skills have gone a little rusty since I've had my hiatus, I thought I had this post scheduled but I must've hit save instead of publish and the flipping thing has been sitting in draft all this time!  It should've posted last weekend!  Sorry about that Elaine!

There are two challenges running at the moment on Eclectic Ellapu,
The Pink teams challenge is...

Reis, meaning country, travel, holiday etc.

And the Purple teams challenge is...

Anything goes!

Although I am on the pink team, I decided that for this week I would help out the Purple team (also because I didn't have anything made for the pink challenge!!)

So here is my card that I made for my parents who celebrated their Ruby Wedding Anniversary last month!

I hadn't made anything for so long when I went to make this one that I couldn't face having to colour an image so I went pretty basic.
The wording is computer generated using the font "Cardinal".  I cut out a Spellbinders Fleur De Lis square in red card and then cut the wording to fit it.  The ribbon, buckle, pearls and diamantés are from my stash.

I used my scoreboard to make a pattern on the base which made lining up the square centre-piece so easy!  I used the same techniques on the inside.

We went out for a meal for their anniversary with all the family in a lovely restaurant in Newcastle.  We also had a gorgeous cake made for the occasion which went down a treat!

I was having a look through my files and I realised I hadn't blogged the last card I had on EE!

The image is PPear by Birdie Brown but I'm afraid my copic list has long since been tidied away (lost) but it looks like the YG90's.  I haven't a clue what the papers are either!
I've added some bakers twine and googly eyes.  The sentiments are computer generated and the top one "you're a quare pair!" would be a phrase used in Ireland to say that they are a great couple, or words to that effect. Lol!

I'm A Big Fan!

 Hi everyone!

2nd post today as I'm now up-to-date!  On the blog anyway, a few things to do "behind the scenes" so to speak!

We have a new challenge for you today at the Alphabet Challenge Blog from my lovely teamie Tammy!  We're back at the start of the alphabet and the theme Tammy has chosen is...

A for Always & Forever!

Great theme for today!  I hope you had a nice Valentines day whether you got a card today or not!

I made my card a while back for my auntie and uncle's 25th wedding anniversary.  On the day, instead of a bouquet, the bride, bridesmaids and flowergirls all carried fans!  Gotta love the style back then! lol!  So in homage to that I made my card like this...

And when it is opened up it is a twisted easel card

The stamps I used are ones I've had for ages from Elusive Images (they are now Chocolate Baroque) and are paisley peacock feathers.  I heat embossed the images in silver on white card and in white on silver card, cut each one out and alternated the colours to make a fan shape.  The sentiment is computer generated and the font is Laine Day.  I dry embossed a diamond shape on the background card, using my scoring board, to add a little bit of interest.

The inside has a smaller version of the stamp and the "25" is from a Pink Gem Design stamp set.  You can see the diamond embossed background better here.

I used Spellbinder circle and large scalloped circle dies and the gems are from my stash.

Silver Anniversary

Hello all!

I hope you're all well?  The wind is keeping us on our toes this week anyway, I could hardly walk up the street earlier today cos the wind was so strong!!

We have our last challenge of the year at the Alphabet Challenge Blog up today, brought to you by Roxx and it's everyone's favourite!

W for Whatever You Wish!

I'm sharing a card that I made a while back for my aunt and uncle for their 25th wedding anniversary - it's scary to think that I was one of their flower-girls 25 years ago!!  I remember bits and pieces about the day, including that it was very windy!

Here's my card:

 
The focal point on my card are wooden letters that I bought in a pack from Tesco which I heat embossed with silver embossing powder and I attached some swarovski crystals.  I framed it with a Heart Wreath stamp by Chloe which is also heat embossed with the silver embossing powder.

I didn't use any patterned papers on the card, instead I used a LOTV corner stamp with silver embossing powder on the base piece of the topper and added a bit of silver ribbon from my stash.  The sentiments are all computer generated using the font Kunstler Script.  I added a couple of lovely square clusters of gems from my stash.

The inside is the same basic layout and a smaller version of the stamp was added with yet more silver embossing powder!

I also made a box for the card to complete it for the special occasion!
